WHO IS ALEKS?
I’m Aleksandar Sesum, an IoT and IT enthusiast with a relentless drive for technology. My story began far from here, in Serbia, where my parents made tremendous sacrifices to bring us to the United States. Their dedication instilled in me a strong work ethic and a desire to make their journey worthwhile.

At age 12, my father gifted me my first computer—an old HP Pavilion, a bulky relic I still own today as a reminder of where my passion ignited. I took it apart, reassembled it, and reloaded Windows 7 countless times, falling in love with the intricacies of technology.

Fresh out of high school, I faced the realities of funding my own education. I spent long hours in a gritty factory to make my first down payment for college, initially enrolling in Business Administration. But two years in, I realized my heart was in IT, not business. So, I made a bold decision to pivot—switching my major to Information Technology.

In 2019, I proudly graduated with an associate degree in IT and Network Security, marking the beginning of an exciting journey in the tech industry. Throughout my education, I was actively working in the IT field, gaining hands-on experience that enriched my learning and reinforced my passion for technology. I embraced various roles that served as pivotal stepping stones in my career. I began as an IT Business Analyst and progressed through key positions, including Data Center Analyst, Network Operations Analyst, Systems Administrator, and Senior IT Service Delivery Administrator. Each experience deepened my understanding of IT operations and equipped me with valuable skills.

As I advanced into IT management, I took on the role of IT Technical Services Manager, and I now have the privilege of serving as an IT Incident & Service Delivery Manager. In this capacity, I oversee all Service Delivery and ITSM-related functions, ensuring that our operations run seamlessly and that we consistently deliver exceptional service quality.

During this time, I balanced a demanding 12.5-hour third shift in the Data Center, working four days a week while pursuing my college education full-time. Despite the exhaustion, my determination to learn, grow, and excel in my IT and management career never wavered. I embraced this challenge, positioning myself at the forefront of helping organizations thrive through innovation and strategic growth. This experience ignited my passion for technology and leadership, reinforcing my commitment to driving meaningful change in every role I undertake.
